Code Of Conduct
ORIENTAL COLLEGE KOHIMA CODE OF CONDUCT FOR LIBRARY
The Oriental College Library is a place for learning and scholarly reflection. The library staffs and administration endeavor to provide respectful and inclusive environment for individual study and learning. To this, the library users are asked to abide by this Library Code of Conduct.
1. engage with library staff in a respectful and courteous manner.
2. strict decorum and discipline must be maintained in the library.
3. library users shall enter their personal details legibly and sign in the register kept at the librarian desk.
4. respect other library users. avoid loud conversations and disruptive behavior in the library.
5. library users should not temper pages, write or underline or otherwise damage the library material resources.
6. library users should care for library equipment, furniture and facilities.
7. no library material can be taken out of the library without the permission of the librarian.
8. students are not allowed to enter the library without valid college id card and library card.
9. use of intoxicant substances, chewing of pan, pan masalas, smoking or indulging in any intoxicant substances is strictly prohibited. offenders will be booked under the college rules and regulations.
10. outsiders are not allowed to avail the college library without the permission of the college authority.
11. anyone who violates the rules and regulations of the library may be debarred from using the library facilities or invite penalty.
12. for any inconveniences, dispute or problems or suggestions, librarian may be contacted.
