Red Ribbon Club Painting Competition Raises HIV/AIDS Awareness

Red Ribbon Club Oriental College organized a painting competition on the theme “Aids Awareness: Prevention only, No Cure.” Was held at the College Auditorium on 23rd February at 11:40 am. The event aimed to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and emphasize the importance of prevention measure.

Participants from each class showcased their artistic talents through thought-provoking paintings depicting the theme. The artworks were diverse in style, technique and interpretation, reflecting the individual perspectives on the issue.

The judging panel, comprising of the Two Assistant professor from Department of English Mrs. Akhrienuo Chietsii and Miss. Keneisenuo Kuotsu evaluated the entries based on creativity, relevance to the theme, and message clarity. After careful deliberation winners were selected and awarded cash prizes.

The First prize was bagged by Mr. Kevizayie Yhome of BA 6th semester, followed by Mr.AthronbaThur of Ba 2nd  semester and the third prize was awarded to Mr. Uzhozo Neinu of B.com 6th semester.

Overall, the painting competition proved to be successful endeavour in fostering students’ engagement and spreading awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention, underscoring the significance of collective action in addressing public health challenges.
